Guerilla culture wars

If Christians are combatants in the culture wars, how do we define victory? One definition of victory is unconditional surrender. But that’s not a realistic goal in the culture wars. If that’s your strategic objective, you’re going to be disappointed.

Sometimes the goal is not about winning, but about keeping the other side from winning. There’s a difference between winning and not losing. Although winning is better than losing, a stalemate is better than losing, even if stalemate falls short outright victory.

We should view the culture wars in terms of guerilla warfare. Handicapping the opposition to keep the opposition from winning.

Steve Hays, you're one of my favorite Christian Right Wing Culture Warriors and Strategists.
